Tmera Bradley,

With social media sites running ramped I have come to realize how important it is to keep your name in good standing. Through social media sites such as; Facebook, YouTube, BlogSpot, and Twitter I was able to get a better idea on who you are both in and out of school. I have divided this memo into two sections: personal and education. By doing this research I hope it help you get a better understanding of what potential employers could find out about you.

Personal:

Tmera Bradley was born on September 23.  She is from Howell, Utah. She has a love for outdoor activities and adventure. Summer is her favorite season of the year. Her love for summer is also displayed on her Facebook page. A variety of pictures show her wakeboarding, rock-climbing, slip and sliding, attending chalk dances, and making drives up to Bear Lake.

Other interest Tmera has consist of sports, clothing, music, and photography. On Facebook she follows: Utah Jazz, USU hockey, USU football, USU basketball, and Michael Kors.

Also found on her blog Tmera states:

“I have many hobbies that include digital photography and photo editing, reading, singing, and music of all kinds. I was a classically trained pianist from 1994-2010 and have competed in numerous events including the annual USU Piano Festival and Utah State Fair… I love shopping and wearing stylish clothes. I can find joy in pleasures as simple as misting myself with a woodsy floral scent or dangling some sparkling jewelry from my ears. I don’t pretend to be a glamour queen, but I like people to accept me for who I am."

Education:

Tmera graduation from Bear River High School in 2010 and is now attending Utah State University. She is Journalism major. Tmera was the senior writer for Utah Statesman. She has also broadcasted for both Cache Rendezvous and A-TV news. She has set up a youtube page displaying the stories she has covered as a broadcaster. From this information I come to the conclusion that she want’s to continue her love for broadcasting after she graduates.

Conclusion

As mentioned above, future employers could do their research to determine the quality of person you are. I believe you show whom you are in a very positive light, making a good reputation for yourself. You display both your personal and professional life in a way that the Internet is your friend not your enemy.

Best of luck to you in future endeavors.

  1. I loved how you formatted your memo into two sections: personal and education. From the perspective of your reader you give a good idea what Tmera has to offer in different situations. It is good to know that there are different ways that social media can display us to the public eye. I liked your use of pictures and sources of where you found information as well. Great post!

  2. I like that you used a quote from Tmera to show in her own words how she is being portrayed to the world. Nice use of Facebook to give detail about her hobbies and likes. I like how you said that she views the internet as her friend not her enemy. From this assignment i see how much someone van find out about others. If someone is proactive in building their online reputation and embraces the internet it can be a huge career builder.
